Finally I clicked a decent night shot from our balcony. Its always so beautiful outside, its almost impossible to get that beautiful scene on camera.
An experiment on the new found wisdom of aperture.
My new found friend.
He looked adorable. But was a little less friendly when I tried to touch him.
I would love to flood my entire blog with his pictures.
I fell in love with him at first sight. He is the star of the Zoo without any doubt. Even the King of the Jungle take a back seat in front of him. Here we go…The white Bangali Tiger.
My first look at him.
Crowd was a little boring I guess. Big guy could not suppress a yawn.
Before we left, we came to visit this guy again. That time, he was up and put up a mighty show for his audience.
He is just picture perfect.
Is this his ‘hunting’ look?
The best part of the Zoo is the Safari. Nothing can ever replace the warm anticipation to see something wild and the chilling shiver which pass down your spine when you see those deadly predaceous animal up and close.
I can never forget the moment when I saw this mighty creature just few feets away from me. This is one of my all-time fav shots.
Another click of the mighty load. Such a pious creature.
But before we got enough shots, lord’s patience worn out and he started growling. We did not stay back to try our luck.
Another Royal fella, peeping….
His highness in a sober mood.
Show time boss…..Growl….
Just like KFC add – he might be thinking ‘finger licking’ good about me.
Together we stand, divided we fall.
A small and separated monkey family. Do not know why dad is in captivity. Anyway mom and kid do not seem to be bothered much. They were busy trying to finish off the food before dad come out of the cage.
“Photo….my a**. Get lost”. I am sure he was trying to convey this message to us by this posture.
“hey kido, let me teach you how to sing”
“and this is how we increase the pitch”
“”and then we will have dead audience.”
“I love yoga. It just keeps me fit”
“Meditation is a must after a Yoga session.”
This is the weirdest monkey I have ever seen.
His face is like an old man’s face with an ugly nose.
This fellow is a senior citizen of the Zoo. He can weigh up to 200kg and lives till 100+ years. So chillax, Overweight is not going to reduce your life span. We have an assurance here.
“All men are equal before fish.” – Herbert Hoover.
I think this fella fell down in a ditch or something. He badly needed a bath.
Successfully casted a Patronus Charm and got him. He is awesomely handsome.
Tortoises unlimited – In every cage you will find tortoises along with the animals. they are everywhere.

Today, we stole one day from our monotonous chaotic life and decided to do something different. We ended up inside the famous Nehru Zoological Park to fulfill a long pending wish. A unexpected break from servers, releases, bugs and from all those annoying worries of life to be spent among the hoi polloi of Jungle.
Toy train inside the zoo. This is the welcome sight.
Well maintained environs inside the zoo is unbelievable. To maintain such a vast space like a heaven in the midst of a heavily populated city is not an easy job.
Well, my first pic using the new lens.
